Abstract

ANNISA RAMADANI, 2026.This study was conducted to examine the techniques employed by the English teacher in teaching listening within a blended learning environment for Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Kepenuhan Hulu. Since listening is considered a fundamental language skill, the application of appropriate instructional techniques is essential to enhance students' listening comprehension and encourage their active participation in the learning process. Accordingly, this research focused on identifying the listening teaching techniques implemented by the teacher and investigating students' perceptions of their application in a blended learning setting. This research adopted a qualitative descriptive approach. The participants of the study included one English teacher and Grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Kepenuhan Hulu. Data were gathered through classroom observations, semi- structured interviews with the teacher, documentation, and questionnaires administered to the students. The collected data were analyzed using the qualitative data analysis framework developed by Miles and Huberman, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification.
