Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of implementation of student organization management at Pasir Pengaraian University and the factors that influence the implementation of student organization management as well as efforts to develop organizational management at Pasir Pengaraian University. The research method used is the Mix Method, namely quantitative and qualitative research methods. The population in this study were students who participated in organizations at Pasir Pengaraian University. The sample in the study amounted to 91 samples using proportional random sampling technique. There were 13 informants in this study. The technique for taking informants uses purposive sampling techniques. Then analysis was carried out on the research data using quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the TCR results, the management level of student organizations at Pasir Pengaraian University obtained the highest TCR score on the supervisory management indicator with a score of 65.88% in the strong criteria. Meanwhile, the lowest YCR value is found in the planning and organizing management indicator with a value of 66.12% in the strong criteria. Based on interviews with research informants, student organization management at Pasir Pengaraian University still needs improvement. Factors that influence the implementation of student organization management are vision and mission, human resources (HR) and funding. The strategy for developing the implementation of student organization management is to foster student interest and hold organizational training. Researchers suggest that students at Pasir Pengaraian University need to carry out further evaluations regarding the management of student organizations, carry out routine upgrading as an introduction to student organization activities, and require students to participate in organizational training.
