Abstract
This research was conducted at SMAN 2 Ujung Batu on May 2018. The purpose of this research was to measure students’ speaking skill by using video media.There were 75 samples in this research were they were taken from the eleventh grade students. In analyzing the data, the researcher was helped by 3 raters to score the students’ speaking skill in general and also the components of speaking such as pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.For components of speaking, the researcher found the average students’ score in pronounciaton of speaking was 35.55 or it can be classified in the Fair level. The average students’ score in grammar of speaking was 34.33 and it can be classified in the Fair level. The average students’ score in vocabulary of speaking was 41.64 and it can be classified in the Average level. The average students’ score in fluency of speaking was 37.01 and it can be classified in the Fair level. The average students’ score in comprehension of speaking was 38.06 and it can be classified in the Fair level. The findings of this research showed that the average score for students’ speaking skill by using video media in this research was 37.48 and it can be categorized as Fair level
