Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational commitment, work motivation, and work discipline on task conflict among civil servants at the Class I Correctional Center (Bapas) Tanjungpinang. The research employed a quantitative approach. The population consisted of 72 civil servants, with 72 respondents selected through a total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that strengthening organizational commitment, enhancing work motivation, and fostering a culture of discipline are essential in managing task conflict constructively within correctional institutions. These three variables are interrelated and form the behavioral foundation necessary for developing professional and productive civil servants.
