Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out students' speaking skill in drama performance at sixth semester students of English Study Program, University of Pasir Pengaraian. The kinds of this research is descriptive qualitative only focused describing the data. The data get from sixth semester students' English Study Program, University of Pasir Pengaraian. The researcher took the data from the video record. The step of analyse the data are collecting the data, analyzing the data, and displaying the result of the analysis. In collecting the data, the researcher used the rubric score and documentation. In analyzing the data the researcher used the components of speaking, they are : pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. The population of the research is at sixth semester students English Study Program University of Pasir Pengaraian. The sample of the research is 14 students, female 10 and male 4. Based on the result of analysis students speaking skill they was were excelent and good; score of pronounciation in categorized excelent is ( 92,8 %) and good (7,2 %), grammar is categorized execelent( 100 %), the score of vocabulary is exelent( 92,8 %) and good (7,2 %), the score of fluency is 71,42 % (excelent) and 28,58 % (good) and the score of comprehension is 57,14 % (excelent) and 42,86 % (good). So, it means that almost the sixth semester students of English Study Program University of Pasir Pengaraian academic year 2022 have an excellent and good speaking skill in drama performance
