Abstract

This study aims to examine the financial aspects, production efficiency, and seasonal factors affecting the palm sugar processing business through a qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews with several informants actively engaged in the palm sugar industry, revealing that average gross monthly income ranges from Rp1,200,000 to Rp2,000,000, with net profits around Rp985,000 to Rp1,271,000, depending on the season and market demand. Seasonal factors such as dry and rainy seasons influence production and palm sugar prices, directly impacting business profitability. Additionally, production efficiency can be improved by utilizing self-supplied raw materials and reducing operational costs, including the optimal use of natural resources. The findings indicate that entrepreneurs should implement systematic financial record-keeping and leverage external support, such as government programs and business partnerships, to enhance competitiveness and sustainability. This research provides important insights into strategies for boosting productivity and profitability in community-based agricultural enterprises.
