Abstract

The research was An Analysis of Students' Basic Components of Micro Teaching skills At Sixth Semester Students of the English Study Program At Universitas Pasir Pengaraian. This research only focused on eight basic components of micro-teaching skills. The research aims to discover the students' basic components of micro-teaching skills in the sixth semester of the English Studies Program at Universitas Pasir Pengaraian. The methodology of this research is qualitative research. The researcher used the teacher instrumentation assessments (IPKG2) to analyze this research. From the analysis, the basic components of micro-teaching skills for sixth-semester students of the English Study Program at Universitas Pasir Pengaraian are in a good category (73%). They applied the basic components of micro-teaching skills when teaching practice. They were good at conducting set induction, set closure, guiding small discussions, and stimulus variation. There were eight students (21%) in very good category. They were very good at classroom management, and they were also very good at questioning. One student (3%) in the fair category was fair in reinforcement. One student (3%) in the poor category was poor in explaining.
